Indomie is produced by Indofood, the pioneer of instant noodles in Indonesia and is one of the largest instant noodles manufacturers in the world. Indomie comes in a variety of flavours. Available in over 100 countries around the world including the beautiful rainbow nation that is South Africa. It’s no wonder that Indomie is flavour, favoured by the world.

History of Indomie

Instant noodles were first introduced and marketed in 1958 in Japan. Due to its practicality and delicious taste, instant noodles were well received and liked by the Japanese. Soon after, its popularity spread throughout the world.

Indomie Pancake

Indomie Pancake

Ingredients:


  • 1 pack of Indomie Mi Goreng
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (sliced)
  • 2 pieces of Red Chili (sliced)
  • 2 Eggs (whisked)
  • 1 Leek (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Method:

  • Put Indomie Mi Goreng Hot & Spicy in boiling water for 3 minutes, lift, and drain.
  • Put the cooked noodles, Indomie seasonings, garlic, chili and scallions into a bowl of whisked eggs. Mix.
  • Heat the cooking oil, then add the Indomie pancake mixture.
  • Cook until turn brown, lift, set aside, and cut into small slices.
  • Serve with chili sauce.

Indomie Bhaji

Indomie Bhaji

Ingredients:

  • 50 gr Corned beef
  • 2 packs of Indomie Chicken Curry Flavor
  • 2 Leek (sliced)
  • 1 Carrot
  • 10 gr of corn
  • 3 Eggs (Whisked)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 40 gr Corn Flakes
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 50 ml Cooking Oil

Method:

  • Put Indomie Chicken Curry Flavor in boiling water for 3 minutes. Lift, drain.
  • Mix cooked noodles with Indomie seasonings, corn flakes, carrots, corn, corned beef, eggs, leeks, butter, salt, and pepper powder.
  • Heat the cooking oil, fry 1 tablespoon of the noodles mixture until cooked.
  • Ready to serve.

Indomie Seafood

Indomie Seafood with Samba Match

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs of Indomie Mi Goreng Hot & Spicy
  • 20 ml Cooking Oil
  • 200 gr Shrimp (peeled)
  • 150 gr Squid (cut into 3 cm per piece)
  • 5 cloves Shallots (sliced)
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (sliced)
  • 15 Cayenne Pepper (sliced)
  • 4 pieces of Orange Leaves (sliced)
  • 1 tsp Fish Paste
  • 2 Limes
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Method:

  • Sambal Matah Mixture: 1. Mix all ingredients: 5 cloves shallots, 2 cloves garlic, 15 cayenne pepper, 4 pieces of orange leaves, fish paste, limes, and salt. Put into a hot cooking oil used to fry the shrimp, stir well. Set aside.
  • Put Indomie Mi Goreng Hot & Spicy in boiling water for 3 minutes. Lift, drain, set aside.
  • Heat the cooking oil, fry the shrimp and squid until they are cooked. Lift. Drain.
  • Mix the cooked noodles, Sambal Matah mixture, fried shrimp, and fried squid into a plate.
  • Ready to Serve.

Indomie Donut

Indomie Donut

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of Indomie Mi Goreng
  • 2 pieces of Smoked Beef (cut into small cubes)
  • 1 ttsp Parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Carrots (cut into small cubes)
  • 30 gr Cheddar Cheese (Melt Quickly)
  • 1 Egg (whisked)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Milk
  • 5 tbsp Paneer Flour
  • 300 ml of Cooking Oil
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • Chili Sauce

Method:

  • Put Indomie Mi Goreng in boiling water for 3 minutes, lift, drain.
  • Mix cooked noodles with smoked beef, carrots, cheddar cheese, egg, fresh milk, parsley, and Indomie seasonings. Stir until all ingredients are mixed.
  • Prepare 2 different sized ring cutters (8.5 cm and 2.5 cm each) to be shaped like a donut. Add the noodles mixture, spread evenly.
  • Steamed in a steamer heat until cooked. Lift, let it cool slightly.
  • Glaze with egg and sprinkle the flour until the surface is coated evenly.
  • Deep fried until it turns brown. Lift, let it cool.
  • Brush the surface of the donut with mayonnaise.
  • Serve with chili sauce on the side.

Indomie Casserole

Indomie Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs of Indomie Special Chicken Flavor
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 200 gr Ground Beef
  • 100 gr Onion (chopped)
  • 2 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 3 Eggplants (thinly sliced)
  • 100 gr of Mozzarella Cheese (grated)
  • 50 gr of Cheddar Cheese (grated)
  • 3 tbsp Chili Sauce
  • 500ml Fresh Milk
  • 4 Eggs Whisked

Method:

  • Put Indomie noodles in boiling water for 3 minutes. Set aside the seasonings. Lift, drain.
  • Heat the cooking oil, sauté onion until fragrant. Add ground beef, stir-fry until it changes color. Sprinkle the pepper, salt and oregano, stir until evenly distributed. Cook until the meat is well cooked.
  • Mix the cooked Indomie noodles with the meat in a bowl. Add Indomie seasonings. Stir until mixed well.
  • Pour the mixture of milk, eggs and cheese. Stir well.
  • Pour 1/3 portion of the noodles into a 15x20 cm mold that has been coated with butter. Put it evenly. Cover the surface with slices of eggplant. Add the rest of the noodles on top of the eggplant evenly. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in an oven with a temperature of 200°C for 30 minutes. Lift.
  • Cut into slices and serve with chili sauce on the side.
  • Milk, Egg, and Cheese Mixture: 1.Pour 500 ml fresh milk, 4 whisked eggs, and cheddar cheese into a bowl. 2.Stir until mixed.

Indomie Salted Egg

Indomie Salted Egg

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of Indomie Chicken Flavour
  • 250 ml of Fresh Milk
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 cloves Shallots (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Leek (sliced)
  • 2 pieces of Red Chili (sliced)
  • 3 Shrimp (peeled and chopped)
  • 7 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Salted Egg
  • 3 tbsp Water

 

Method:

  • Put Indomie Chicken Flavor in boiling water for 3 minutes. Lift and drain.
  • Boil the fresh milk, add Indomie Chicken Curry seasonings.
  • Heat the butter, sauté onion until fragrant, add leeks and cayenne pepper. Add shrimp and curry leaves, sauté until cooked shrimp. Add salted eggs, stir. Lift. Set aside.
  • Pour the soup noodles into a serving bowl, add the salted egg stir in the top. Serve.
